Delivery:

We pride ourselves on offering you a service second to none and aim to dispatch your order quickly and efficiently the same day we receive it!

All orders are dispatched the same working day subject to stock availability. All delivery services are subject to stock availability and orders being received before 1pm Monday to Friday (as long as this is a working day). Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday and orders placed over Weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched the next working day. All orders are delivered by the relevant courier Monday to Friday as long as this is a working day.

Our website is not real-time compliant so sometimes items may be Out Of Stock! The website is updated every day so if you are not sure of the availability of an item please e-mail us at orders@jokeshop.co.uk.

We only ship orders to UK addresses. If we cannot supply any of your order we will notify you via e-mail. If we can only supply part of your order we will dispatch the product(s) that are available and you will be notified of this when you receive your order. Please note that if a product(s) is Out Of Stock you will be refunded immediately for the missing product(s).

You do have the option of informing us Not To Send your order if an item is Out Of Stock. You can do this by telling us in the Additional Comments Box when you place your order. When using our First Class 2-3 Day Delivery Service the Additional Comments Box can also be used to tell us if you would like to have your order dropped off in a Safe Place. This is very useful if you are going to be out when your order is delivered. A safe place can be your shed, porch, garage or with a neighbour or other Safe Place. If you are out when your order is delivered and you have not stated a Safe Place your order will be taken to your local Royal Mail Sorting Office. A card will be left to tell you how to arrange delivery or collection.

Our First Class 2-3 Day Delivery Service has a maximum weight limit of 20kg. If your order weight is more than this, or if the goods you have ordered are over 60cm in length, your order will then be dispatched using Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service and delivery times will be 3-4 working days.

Please note if your order includes an item over 60cm in length, it and anything else you order will be sent via Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service.

If you are having problems tracing your order please e-mail us at orders@jokeshop.co.ukwith your name, address, postcode, telephone number, date of your order and your order reference number. This number can be found on the top of your invoice that is e-mailed to you when you place your order so we can investigate.

Please be aware if Royal Mail or Parcelforce has Industrial Action there will be a backlog of post and delivery can take longer. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by Industrial Action. Please allow plenty of time for delivery. Please note that once an order has been dispatched it becomes the property and responsibility of either Royal Mail or Parcelforce to be delivered not the Joke Shop. All items purchased from the Joke Shop website are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to our carriers, Royal Mail or Parcelforce.

For your convenience you may check the status of our delivery companies by clicking on the following links. For Royal Mail's Service please click here. For Parcelforce's Service please click here.

We will require your name, address, postcode, telephone number, date of your order and your order reference number. This number can be found on the top of your invoice that is e-mailed to you when you place your order.

If we cannot supply any of your order we will notify you via e-mail. We give full protection completely compliant with the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations Act - the Electronic Commerce Directive 2000, the Distance Selling Directive 2000 and the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations Act 2005. Under these Acts you are entitled to have a 14-day cooling off period. You have the right to cancel your order and receive the goods component of the price and initial delivery charges back in full. This is subject to you returning the goods to us in an unused re-sellable condition with all security seals, labels and packaging intact.

Please note that your statutory rights are unaffected. The cooling off period starts when the contract is concluded and ends 14 days after the day the goods are delivered to your order address.

When returning goods please note that we will not refund your postage costs and you must return the goods to us at your own cost using Recorded Delivery only and you must provide proof of postage.

When returning any goods we will require a signed declaration from you that states that the goods were faulty, damaged or unwanted at the time of delivery. If we do not receive the goods back within 7 days we will not be liable to refund you. When we have received the goods back in an acceptable condition all money paid, less the original postage cost will be returned to you within 30 days of the date of cancellation or receipt of the goods in accordance with the Distance Selling Directive 2000.

If goods are faulty or damaged on arrival or later than a guaranteed (not estimated) delivery date we will replace them. If we cannot replace them we will give you a full refund, or if you prefer a Credit Note. Your postage costs will also be refunded on receipt of the goods, once a member of our staff has examined the goods. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by industrial action. Please allow plenty of time for delivery.

Due to the nature of our business particular scrutiny will be used in connection with returning faulty, damaged or unwanted goods. If there is a discrepancy over the returned goods Joke Shop will contact you within 7 days of receipt to discuss this. If goods are faulty, damaged or unwanted and you fail to inform us of this within 14 days then Joke Shop shall consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purposes and we may not accept any reject at a later date.

All returns once authorised should be sent via Recorded Delivery to:

Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to improve their performance and enhance your user experience. This policy explains how we do that.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files which a website may put on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. The cookie will help the website, or another website, to recognise your device the next time you visit. Web beacons or other similar files can also do the same thing. We use the term "cookies” in this policy to refer to all files that collect information in this way.

There are many functions cookies serve. For example, they can help us to remember your username and preferences, analyse how well our website is performing, or even allow us to recommend content we believe will be most relevant to you.

Certain cookies contain personal information – for example, if you click to "remember me” when logging in, a cookie will store your username. Most cookies won’t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user’s general location.

What sort of cookies does the Joke Shop use?

Generally, our cookies perform up to four different functions:

1. Essential cookies.

Some cookies are essential for the operation of our website. For example, some cookies allow us to identify subscribers and ensure they can access the subscription only pages. If a subscriber opts to disable these cookies, the user will not be able to access all of the content that a subscription entitles them to.

2. Performance Cookies.

We utilise other cookies to analyse how our visitors use our websites and to monitor website performance. This allows us to provide a high quality experience by customising our offering and quickly identifying and fixing any issues that arise. For example, we might use performance cookies to keep track of which pages are most popular, which method of linking between pages is most effective, and to determine why some pages are receiving error messages. We might also use these cookies to highlight articles or site services that we think will be of interest to you based on your usage of the website.

3. Functionality Cookies.

We use functionality cookies to allow us to remember your preferences. For example, cookies save you the trouble of typing in your username every time you access the site, and recall your customisation preferences, such as which regional edition of the website you want to see when you log in.

We also use functionality cookies to provide you with enhanced services such as allowing you to watch a video online or comment on a blog.

4. Behaviourally Targeted Advertising Cookies.

The Joke Shop and our advertisers use cookies to serve you with advertisements that we believe are relevant to you and your interests. For example, if you read a number of articles on motoring on Jokeshop.com or on other sites, a car manufacturer might infer you are interested in this topic and serve you with its car advertisements. You might see these advertisements on jokeshop.com and on other sites that you visit. However, we do not tell our advertisers who you are.

Does anyone else use cookies on the Joke Shop websites?

Advertisers sometimes use their own cookies to provide you with targeted advertising. For example, advertisers may use a profile they have built on sites that you have previously visited to present you with more relevant advertisements during your visit to jokeshop.com. We believe that it is useful to our users to see advertisements that are more relevant to their interests.

We also use or allow third parties to serve cookies that fall into the four categories above. For example, like many companies, we use Google Analytics to help us monitor our website traffic. We may also use third party cookies to help us with market research, revenue tracking, improving site functionality and monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and copyright policy.

Can a website user block cookies?

As we’ve explained above, cookies help you to get the most out of our websites.

The first time you accessed our website after 14th June 2012, you should have seen an overlay which explained that by continuing to access our site, you are consenting to our use of cookies.
