Our Terms & ConditionsDelivery:We pride ourselves on offering you a service second to none and aim to dispatch your order quickly and efficiently the same day we receive it!
All orders are dispatched the same working day subject to stock availability. All delivery services are subject to stock availability and orders being received before 2pm Monday to Friday (as long as this is a working day). Orders placed after 2pm Monday to Friday and orders placed over Weekends and Bank Holidays will be dispatched the next working day. All orders are delivered by the relevant courier Monday to Friday as long as this is a working day. The only exception to this is a Saturday delivery for orders placed on a Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays) using our Special Delivery Next Day Service. All orders using this service are guaranteed to reach you by 1pm the following day (Excluding Bank Holidays).
Our website is not real-time compliant so sometimes items may be Out Of Stock! The website is updated every day so if you are not sure of the availability of an item please telephone us on +44 (01223) 353003 or e-mail us at orders@jokeshop.co.uk.
If we cannot supply any of your order we will notify you via e-mail. If we can only supply part of your order we will dispatch the product(s) that are available and you will be notified of this when you receive your order. Please note that if a product(s) is Out Of Stock you will be refunded immediately for the missing product(s).
You do have the option of informing us Not To Send your order if an item is Out Of Stock. You can do this by telling us in the Additional Comments Box when you place your order. When using our First Class 1-3 Day Delivery Service the Additional Comments Box can also be used to tell us if you would like to have your order dropped off in a Safe Place. This is very useful if you are going to be out when your order is delivered. A safe place can be your shed, porch, garage or with a neighbour or other Safe Place. If you are out when your order is delivered and you have not stated a Safe Place your order will be taken to your local Royal Mail Sorting Office. A card will be left to tell you how to arrange delivery or collection. The Safe Place option is not available for the Special Delivery Next Day Services as this service requires a signature.
All orders using our First Class 1-3 Day Delivery Service or our Special Delivery Next Day Service have a maximum weight of 20kg. If your order weight is more than this, or if the goods you have ordered are over 60cm in length, your order will then be dispatched using Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service and delivery times will be 3-4 working days. Please note if your order includes an item over 60cm in length, it and anything else you order will be sent via Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service.
All International orders under 2kg are dispatched using Royal Mail International Service and delivery is 5-10 working days. All International orders over 2kg are dispatched using Parcelforce Worldwide Service and delivery is 4-5 working days.
If you are having problems tracing your order please telephone us on (01223) 353003 or e-mail us at orders@jokeshop.co.uk with your name, address, postcode, telephone number, date of your order and your order reference number. This number can be found on the top of your invoice that is e-mailed to you when you place your order so we can investigate.
Please be aware if Royal Mail or Parcelforce has Industrial Action there will be a backlog of post and delivery can take longer. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by Industrial Action. Please allow plenty of time for delivery. Please note that once an order has been dispatched it becomes the property and responsibility of either Royal Mail or Parcelforce to be delivered not The Magic Joke Shop. All items purchased from The Magic Joke Shop (Rochair Ltd) website are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to our carriers, Royal Mail or Parcelforce.

Our Refund Policy & Distance Selling Regulations:We pride ourselves on offering you a service second to none and take complaints very seriously. We will always try our hardest to make sure that you receive your goods in the best possible condition and on time. However if you do receive an item that is faulty or has been damaged while in the post, please telephone us on (01223) 353003 or e-mail us at orders@jokeshop.co.uk before you return the item to us at the address below, as unauthorised returns will not be credited. We will require your name, address, postcode, telephone number, date of your order and your order reference number. This number can be found on the top of your invoice that is e-mailed to you when you place your order.

We give full protection completely compliant with the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations Act - the Electronic Commerce Directive 2000, the Distance Selling Directive 2000 and the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) (Amendment) Regulations Act 2005. Under these Acts you are entitled to have a 7-day cooling off period. You have the right to cancel your order and receive the goods component of the price back in full. If you return the goods to us in an unused re-sellable condition with all security seals, labels and packaging intact.
Please note that due to health and hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns for masks, gloves, make-up, sweets, coloured contact lenses, wigs, hats, footwear or lingerie. All costumes must be unworn and all seals intact. Your statutory rights are unaffected. The cooling off period starts when the contract is concluded and ends 7 days after the day the goods are delivered to your order address.
We will not however refund your initial postage costs and you must return the goods to us at your own cost using Recorded Delivery only and you must provide proof of postage.
When returning any goods we will require a signed declaration from you that states that the goods were faulty, damaged or unwanted at the time of delivery. We will also require your name, address, postcode, telephone number, date of your order and your order reference number. This number can be found on the top of your invoice that is e-mailed to you when you place your order. If you fail to do this then we will not be liable to refund you.
Faulty, damaged or unwanted goods must be sent to our Returns Department at the address given below. Once you have obtained authorisation from us and cancelled your order we will wait no more than 7 days for the goods to be returned. If we do not receive the goods back within 7 days we will not be liable to refund you. When we have received the goods back in an acceptable condition all money paid, less the original postage cost will be returned to you within 30 days of the date of cancellation or receipt of the goods in accordance with the Distance Selling Directive 2000.
If goods are faulty or damaged on arrival or later than a guaranteed (not estimated) delivery date we will replace them. If we cannot replace them we will give you a full refund, or if you prefer a Credit Note. Your postage costs will also be refunded on receipt of the goods, once a member of our staff has examined the goods. Please note that we do not accept responsibility for late delivery caused by industrial action. Please allow plenty of time for delivery.
Due to the nature of our business particular scrutiny will be used in connection with returning faulty, damaged or unwanted goods. If there is a discrepancy over the returned goods The Magic Joke Shop will contact you within 7 days of receipt to discuss this. If goods are faulty, damaged or unwanted and you fail to inform us of this within 7 days then The Magic Joke Shop shall consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purposes and we may not accept any reject at a later date.

All dispatched orders are fully Tracked. For UK orders we give you a choice of two Royal Mail Services. These are Tracked 2-3 Day Delivery Service for orders weighing no more than 5kg. Or Tracked Next Day Delivery Service, which is a guaranteed delivery before 1pm the following day for orders, weighing no more than 10kg. The only exceptions to this are if the goods you have ordered are over 60cm in length or your order weight is more than the designated weight for the service offered. These orders are then dispatched via Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service and delivery times will be 3-4 working days.
Please note if your order includes an item over 60cm in length, it and anything else you order will be sent via Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service. Please do NOT select the Next Day Delivery option, as we are unable to offer this service for this item. Please note that we are unable to offer a refund on your postage costs if you select Next Day Delivery! All International orders under 2kg are dispatched using Royal Mail International Service and delivery is 5-8 working days. All International orders over 2kg are dispatched using Parcelforce Worldwide Service and delivery is 4-5 working days.

All UK orders over 5kg using the Tracked 2-3 Day Delivery Service, all UK orders over 10kg using the Tracked Next Day Delivery Service and all International orders over 2kg are dispatched using Parcelforce's Worldwide Services, and can be Tracked online by visiting Parcelforce's Tracking Service website here.
